Event Description:
You are invited to participate in a Virtual Highline Community Conversation on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 8:30-10:00 AM.
 
This conversation will be focused on workforce and labor needs in our region.
 
 The meeting will include a panel discussion with Highline College faculty and staff, breakout rooms to hear about your labor needs and observations and full group Q&A.
 
The panel will feature:
  • Shawna Freeman, Highline College Interim Associate Dean for Student Learning & Success
  • Sam Kaplan, Director, Center of Excellence for Global Trade and Supply Chain Management
  • Paulette Lopez, Highline College Dean of Instruction, Workforce Programs
  • James Peyton, Highline College Faculty Economics/Statistics
  • Rich Shockley, Executive Director, Highline Small Business Development Center and StartZone
 
Following the panel there will be:
  • Breakout sessions to discuss key questions
  • Concluding Q&A discussion with all participants
 
Future Community Conversations are planned on a quarterly basis, both in virtual spaces and in-person, on-campus and in the community.
